This DTC is output when a failure of the automatic light control sensor circuit is detected.

  • Open or short of light sensor circuit
  • Automatic light control sensor
  • Harness or connector

INSPECT FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 Sequoia) .

(b) Recheck for DTC LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 Sequoia) .

OK:

DTC B1244 is not output.

OK

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)

(a) Operate the Techstream according to the display and select Data List.

INSPECT AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR (SYSTEM VOLTAGE)


(a) Disconnect the I21 automatic light control sensor connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

(c) Reconnect the automatic light control sensor connector.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)


(a) Disconnect the H3 main body ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the I21 automatic light control sensor connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
